As the administrator of LinkedIn Group, when you send a LinkedIn Announcement, you're directly reaching a LinkedIn user's inbox. And when you create a Google+ event, sending the invite directly sends you into users' email boxes as well. Without having to create lists or collect email addresses, you automatically have access to users' email, but be sure to tap into these resources with care.
This is essentially a smaller “digested” version of the newsletter. Depending on what you want your digest to contain, you can automate and schedule them to be sent at regular intervals. A perfect example is collating a list of notifications for every new post you publish that is then sent to your email list once a week. Some blogging platforms will even allow your subscribers to set up their own preferences, so how often they are sent a digest for example.
Make sure you have a diverse program mix in your inbound marketing plans. You should be engaging in both organic and paid campaigns to drive traffic to your website to generate leads. Think about audience building and lead generation on social media, and consider engaging in paid programs like paid email marketing sends, content syndication, paid webinars, and more to drive leads into your funnel.
With the new buyer it is important to note that your marketing efforts don’t end once a new lead comes into your system – what we call Top of the Funnel (TOFU) marketing. Many companies do a good job at generating leads, but the problem is that most new leads are not ready to buy yet. And if a sales rep does engage and the lead isn’t ready to talk with them, it reinforces the notion that marketing sourced leads are not great. As a result leads get lost, ignored, or snatched up by your competitors.
Sometimes the best business lead generation ideas and well established, but simply done well. I created a targeted list of potential prospects in my niche. I reach out to them personally via cold email to start a conversation and determine if my design studio may be the right fit for them. It has resulted in new clients as well as helped me build my email list. The key is to research each of your prospects thoroughly and send them a fully personalized email.
Instead, consider aiming for “green light benchmarks,” a concept created by Ramit Sethi. Once you’ve reached a certain threshold, you can give yourself the “green light” to move on to something else for a bit—there are always bigger fish to fry when growing a business. Sanocki recommends the following benchmarks for most of your promotional and lifecycle email campaigns:
“Too many people believe that the time has passed to successfully rank organically on Google. Specifically targeting ranking opinion articles for individual property addresses and then providing “the rest of the story” so the potential buyers can read your opinions of the property’s strengths and weaknesses. This works extremely well with very high-end or historic properties. The buyer gets to hear your tone and gets a feel for your personality as well as some honest insight about the property they’re considering buying.”
In your lead nurturing emails, it's important to call out why recipients are receiving the email. For example, you could say something like, "We noticed you're into [topic x] since you downloaded our [Topic X] ebook, and we thought you might want to learn more about [topic x] ..." Once you've addressed why recipients are getting email from you, you can format your lead nurturing emails similar to the way you'd set up your general marketing offer emails.
You can put them into your database and target them with a Facebook custom audience, direct mail to them, door knock them, etc. If you are signed up as a BPO provider you’ll be emailed when they need a BPO performed; just decline the BPO but add the property to your database and market to it. (Or do the BPO for extra cash but you shouldn’t then market to the homeowner as that would be considered a conflict of interest).”
“As an investor I look for certain things in a Realtor that a first time homebuyer doesn’t necessarily need. I want a Realtor who is either an investor themselves or has at least 2 years of experience working with investors. The Realtor needs to be a strong negotiator, know the market and not be timid about submitting conventionally low offers. I look for a Realtor who thinks outside the box, has access to off market listings and has a strong network including lenders and title companies.”
