If you design emails on your own email platform, you’ll need to be proficient in coding and willing to spend a lot of time making sure that you’ve got it exactly right on every email. But with an email marketing services provider, you can rely on the templates to keep everything lined up and coded correctly. Don’t forget that about half of all emails today are opened on mobile devices. Email marketing services help make sure that your email will render correctly on every device.
Order Status Emails — For companies with e-commerce sites, this series of emails keeps customers informed about the status of their orders and typically includes order confirmation, shipment confirmation, shipment tracking, delivery confirmation, and receipts. Transactional emails such as these typically have average open rates that exceed 75%; however, few marketers use these opportunities to build customer relationships and grow revenue.
3. The “sliced bread” approach: LeadPages’ head of marketing automation, Chris Davis, coined this term after thinking about a very simple kind of marketing: grocery store samples, in which shoppers are given a taste of something (like a slice from a loaf of bread) to inspire them to buy the whole product. The first chapter of an e-book, a mini consultation, or, if you’re in software, a free limited-functionality app account could serve as your first slice of bread.
Even if you don’t have a physical product at all, you can still send offer emails. Here’s an example where Zapier offers a free live training session on their software. It makes their subscribers happy because it gives them access to something they probably wouldn’t have known about if they hadn’t been on the list, but it also moves their subscribers further along their sales funnel.
Companies also need to map out the customer’s journey across their marketing funnel. It’s almost like leaving breadcrumbs for your customer—after they look at your services, where do you want them to go? Leave “breadcrumbs” like a downloadable piece of collateral or invite them to sign up for a newsletter. Once you figure out the ideal new customer journey, you can measure where users drop off and improve your site accordingly.

You cannot take full advantage of your marketing efforts if you do not measure the results periodically and take corrective action time to time. Hence, another key benefits of Email Marketing is that it allows you to measure the results of your efforts in terms of valuable metrics like delivery rates, open rates, click-to-deliver rates, and subscriber rates. This helps you in understanding about the customer’s preferences and interest. You can simply measure the result using the Email Marketing tool that you are using and find the information to which the customers are more responsive. This helps in preparing a better strategy and plan to target the audiences more successfully.
Be sure that your business is using and leveraging the benefits of email marketing effectively. Email is a communication channel that allows your business to speak directly to customers, prospects, partners and suppliers. When utilized as part of an overall web-based marketing strategy it is a powerful tool that provides a wide range of benefits for businesses of all sizes.

Being able to target your audience solves all the inherent problems of non-targeted marketing. Gone are the days of placing an advertisement on television, on a diner placemat, or in a periodical with no control of who will see it. With email marketing, you have more control who sees it by segmenting your contacts list based on their lead status, demographics, location, or other data points. Targeting emails ensure that your audience receives content suited specifically to his/her needs. Customers and business owners benefit because you can customize a message for each customer depending on a segment to foster a higher conversion rate.
Contests can be held on essentially any social network, making them widely accessible. It’s important to clearly state the rules of the contest and follow the network’s promotion guidelines. Your contest prizes should be strictly related to your industry or else you run the risk of getting irrelevant leads who aren’t interested in your product or service.

Jordy Solos have long lists of subscribers and provide you fresh list of subscribers through constantly building our list. By using our solo ads, you are taking advantage of the targeted audience from our buyers list.
Getting started with your email marketing campaigns is easy. There are a variety of templates and tools at your disposal that can help you set up your first campaign in under an hour. Email automation tools also make it simple to set up drip campaigns that trigger certain email messages when individuals take a certain action like leave their shopping cart or visit the pricing page on your website.

In addition to helping you build credibility, email marketing can also enable you to strengthen your relationships with new leads and existing customers. Through consistent and valuable email communications, you can stay on top of your audience’s mind, educate your readers on the topics that matter most to them, and show your appreciation for their business by letting them know about special promotions.
42. Breathing life into dead pages: Traffic doesn’t necessarily stop flowing to an event, giveaway, or promotion page as soon as you hit the expiration date and stop promoting it. Make sure latecomers still have a way to stay connected by updating those pages with a LeadBox™. You can use it to offer a “consolation prize” lead magnet, or simply provide the chance to get notified of future events and promotions.

I’m not talking about a traditional direct mail campaign here. I’m talking about an old fashioned business letter. Seem retro? Exactly! With the rise of e-mail we receive fewer and fewer letters outlining a business proposition. The result it that they get attention. Make sure that the letter is relevant and not just a blind offer of your services. For example, you might point out that you noticed a specific need that their firm had and believe you might have a novel solution that can save them time and money. Focus on your target clients (see number 6).

For example, If you’re a retailer specializing in hip, modern home decor, you probably wouldn’t waste your time sending mailers. Instead, you’d target your core audience of hip, modern millennials by posting breathtaking staged rooms on Instagram, or ads when individuals search for such decor. Or you might create an exciting contest on social media (check out our guide here).

You can find the answer to any question you might have on the internet. But how many really good answers are out there? Taking the time to create an in-depth, step-by-step article that answers a burning question for your prospect serves as an opportunity to generate a lead. After all, the company that provides the best answer will often get your business, right?

When it comes to the email your business sends, make it clear that this offer or event is the result of a partnership with company X -- especially if your co-marketing partner is particularly popular or impressive. To do this, you can adjust the company logo in your email to also include the other business' logo. Furthermore, make sure your copy mentions both businesses, and create a custom graphic or image to visualize the offer or event.
Diluted Call-To-Action: Due to their format--a compilation of information--newsletters can be overwhelming and ignorant of a specific call-to-action. If you include a series of blurbs or article summaries, the attention of your recipients will most likely be spread across these tidbits of information as opposed to staying focused on a certain element. Of course, you can address this by prioritizing the most important information at the top of the newsletter and include a clear call-to-action after/alongside each block of text.

Design: With newsletters, the layout becomes a much more complicated task than it is with dedicated email sends. You’ll have to spend some time deciding on the right placement of images and text, alignment and prioritization of information. Thankfully, there are a bunch of websites out there to help you with these efforts. MailChimp, for instance, offers a package of 36 basic, flexible templates you can use to get started.
Another example is KissMetrics, the advanced analytics platform, who has two tools in a section of their site called /growth-tools/ around (1) calculating statistical significance for AB tests and (2) building URLs with UTM parameters for easy campaign tracking. These are useful to their exact target audience (marketers that run AB tests and other marketing campaigns):
The first and foremost benefits of Email Marketing are that it has very low cost in comparison to other mainstream marketing channels. You may need to invest in a good Email Marketing tool that will help you in automating, tracking, and evaluating the Email Marketing results. But, if you compare it with the number of emails that you can send, the cost of tools is very less.
If you only ever send fancy formatted emails, text-only messages may be worth a try. According to HubSpot, even though people say that they prefer heavily-designed emails with numerous images, in actuality, simpler emails with less HTML won out in every A/B test. In fact, HTML emails tend to have lower open and click-through rates that correlate directly to how many HTML elements are included. This is likely due to email programs such as Gmail filtering promotional emails out of the main inbox and into a different tab where they may not be seen by users. Plainer emails can be great for event invitations, blog content, and survey or feedback requests. But even if you don’t send text-only messages, simplifying your emails and including fewer images could be enough to boost your open and click through rates.
With OptinMonster, you don’t have to spend hours of your week focusing on lead capture strategies. Our unique lead generation software features an intuitive drag and drop builder, powerful A/B testing features, page level targeting, and exit intent technology – all of which work together and allow you to focus on what really matters: crafting influential emails that engage your subscribers.
Pro Tip: Don’t just consider personal goals that you want to achieve as a company. Think about what your target audience would be interested in following. If you’re a marketing company, then maybe that is your journey to attracting X visitors. But, if you’re a fitness company, you could do a company-wide contest for employees to lose weight and have them write blog posts documenting their journey to a slimmer waist.
Transactional emails are usually triggered based on a customer's action with a company. To be qualified as transactional or relationship messages, these communications' primary purpose must be "to facilitate, complete, or confirm a commercial transaction that the recipient has previously agreed to enter into with the sender" along with a few other narrow definitions of transactional messaging.[3] Triggered transactional messages include dropped basket messages, password reset emails, purchase or order confirmation emails, order status emails, reorder emails, and email receipts.

One of my best business lead generation ideas is to go to chamber of commerce seminars and workshops and network small business owners there. I collect their business cards, send them an email asking if they want to get together for a one-to-one, where we can learn more about each other’s businesses. Many times this leads me to get a new client without spending much money at all.

The Australian Spam Act 2003 is enforced by the Australian Communications and Media Authority, widely known as "ACMA". The act defines the term unsolicited electronic messages, states how unsubscribe functions must work for commercial messages, and gives other key information. Fines range with 3 fines of AU$110,000 being issued to Virgin Blue Airlines (2011), Tiger Airways Holdings Limited (2012) and Cellar master Wines Pty Limited (2013).[14]

So, if your main goal is to drive a specific action – sign up for this webinar, buy this product, read my latest blog post – you may be better off with a standalone email. These emails are dedicated to just one topic and put the call to action front and center. Your readers’ attention won’t be diverted, so they’re more likely to take the action you want them to.
